Leandro Lo, a legend in jiu-jitsu, was killed in Brazil

Leandro Lo, a renowned Jiu-jitsu fighter, was reported to have been shot dead on Sunday at a concert in Sao Paulo. 

According to a report by MMA Fighting, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion's attorney stated that his client, 33, died after being diagnosed as brain dead due to the shooting.

According to the outlet, Lo and Police Officer Henrique Otávio Oliveira Velozo got into a fight during which Lo was allegedly killed. 

According to the site, citing a police record, witnesses claimed that Velozo swiped a bottle from Lo's table and that the boxer then knocked the officer to the ground and grabbed him. 

Lo was one of the most accomplished jiu-jitsu competitors of all time after dominating the sport since 2011 and earning eight World Championship championships. 

He recently won another World Championship in California
